The youth in the Great T-58 have lots of opportunity for leadership positions within the troop. We have elections every 6 months for Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders. The Scouts, with adult advisory, govern the troop.

Parents are encouraged to register as a leader and become trained within their role. We welcome all dads, moms, and even grandparents to be a part of the Great T-58.

Troop 58 camps at least once every month. Campout themes very throughout the year. Troop 58 has leaders certified as instructors in swimming/lifesaving, climbing & repelling, shooting sports, and canoeing. This allows the scouts a solid base of way cool activities to enjoy throughout the year! Hiking, backpacking, and wilderness survival are other campout activities the scouts thoroughly enjoy!

"Accept the Challenge" with Troop 58 and find yourself climbing/hanging off a 50 or 100 foot high cliff, canoeing across a lake for a wilderness survival campout on an uninhabited island, or shooting a Bull’s-eye with .22 long rifles!

For the older Scouts, we have a Venture Crew that just recently returned from a hiking trek at Philmont.

Most of our scouts advance to First Class within the first year. Average age for our troop is about 13. We have a mixture of 11 to 16 year old boys. We are planning to have another Eagle Scout soon. There are monthly dues of $5 and the average campout is $8.
